Principal’s Cup: Christ Comprehensive College win Kaduna football final


Christ Comprehensive College won the Principal’s Cup Kaduna state football final after defeating eight-man Government Secondary School, Auchan 7-2 in a one sided tie to pick a ticket for the zonal competition.


Christ Comprehensive College edged popular Government College, Kaduna 3-2 in a keenly contested semi finals, to berth in the final, while Government Secondary School Auchan walloped Government Secondary School Kagoro 3-0 to book their spot in the final.
In athletics, Elizabeth Alege from Barnawa Baptist, Comfort Sule from GSS Sabon Tasha, Dare Favour from Manna Kiddies Academy and Faith Emmanuel from Foundation Science Secondary School, Zaria will represent Kaduna state in 100m girls.


Bashir Mohammed Habib from Air Force Secondary School, Victor Moses from Manna Kiddies Academy, Agwa Alex and David Sabo both from Faith Academy are to represent Kaduna state in the 100m boys zonal finals.
In the girls 200m, Favour Dare, Happy Rasheed and Elizabeth Aliyu will compete for the state, while for the boys, Bashir Mohammed, Jirayi Beniah and Emmanuel Paul Ezra will represent the state.


In the girls 400m, Comfort Sule from GSS Sabo Tasha, Favour Emmanuel from Foundation Zaria, blessing Joseph and Mary Ango will represent the state at the zonal level, same as Joshua Oriaku, Alexander Samson, Isah Saminu and Farouk Kashim in the boys category.
Other athletes equally emerged in the javelin, long jump and table tennis events.
