‘Our problems will soon be over’

 

Chairman, Kuje area council, Alhaji Abdullahi Danladi Galadima, has noted that the country’s challenges would soon be over.
He stated this during the second round of security meeting on Fulani herdsmen and farmers at Rubochi town, one of the development area in kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The chairman said similar stakeholders meeting with farmers and herdsmen, traditional rulers and security agencies was held in Kuje town, but he chose Rubochi as venue for the meeting “this time because I want the information to spread all over Kuje area council.”
He said some of the developed countries had suffered similar challenges in the past, “but due to their high sense of responsibility, they were able to foster a cohesive force of ensuring indivisibility.”
“Kuje is known to be one of the most peaceful area council in the FCT,” he said, adding that “Nigeria has faced series of crises in its political history, but was able to maintain the fight and came out a stronger nation.”
According to him, his administration is trying to intensify its efforts to overcome security challenges, such as farmers, herdsmen’s clashes and kidnapping.
He said the Council had been involved in creating awareness campaigns “and will continue to create awareness and sensitisation, especially on security matters.”
Blueprint gathered that those in attendance, the Gomo of Kuje, HRH, Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin, Sa-Rubochi, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Pada, the Agabe of Gwargwada, HRH, Alhaji Husseini Gagabi Man, the DPO Rubochi, John Karim, farmers, herdsmen, other traditional rulers and security agencies’ representatives during the meeting, “all agreed to work together to promote good governance and security of lives and property in the area.”
