Prof. Dadu’ut emerges APC’s flag bearer in Plateau South Senatorial district by-election

Professor Nora Ladi Dadu’ut has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Plateau South Senatorial primary election, held Thursday in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau state.

She won the primary defeating three other contestants that sought for the party’s flag to context for the bye-election into the Senate seat, whose vacancy was created by the death of late Senator Ignatius Longjan.

Prof. Dadu”ut scored 1,936 votes, defeating Prof. Doknaan Sheni’s 61 votes. Prof. Emmanuel Garba, polled 60 votes to come 3rd, while Bar. Demian Shekarau, scored 16 votes.

The state ecretary of the party, Malam Bashir Musa Sati, said the primary was conducted peacefully, free, fair and credible.

“With the successful conduct of the primary, we are now battle ready to retain our seat. We are confident that the electorate of Southern senatorial district will still give us their mandate,” he said.
