PRP offers Nigerians ‘hope’ in New Year message

Peoples Redemption Party has urged Nigerians to leave behind the sufferings of 2020 and enter into the New Year, 2021 and align with PRP with renewed hope of improved living and better things to come.

National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Falalu Bello, said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Muhammadu Buhari promised so much since 2015 but has delivered so little with insecurity and poverty ravaging the people in the midst of dwindling economy.
Speaking in his new year message titled ‘Goodbye to Sufferings, Welcome to Hope’, the PRP leader said, “the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) wishes to congratulate Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, on the celebration of New Year’s Day, 2021.

“The year 2020 has been one of the most difficult years, not only for Nigeria, but the world over. The COVID-19 pandemic with its associated economic, social and healthcare challenges have indeed been traumatic for all. Here in Nigeria, these challenges have compounded already existing endemic challenges which have over the years rendered the lives of our citizens not only short and painful but veritably brutish.
“We are thankful to God for sparing our lives to witness the end of this horrific year. While looking forward to a much more clement 2021, we cannot forget our controversial voyage of difficulties and regrets that this administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Party (APC) piloted us through since 2015.

“It is extremely sad that instead of addressing the challenges Nigeria faces and charting a more progressive and humane path forward, the APC government has got mired in the blame game. It attributes all its failures either to past administrations or to the political opposition or other voices of dissent.

“In this regard, particular mention must be made of this APC administration’s utter failure to address the security challenge, the worsening state of the nation’s economy and the increasing pauperization of the citizenry.  The PRP believes that Nigerians should hold this failed Administration responsible for all the ills that have befallen them under the inept leadership of the so-called, ‘Mr Integrity.’

“As we move into 2021, the PRP calls on all well-meaning Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the task of taking back their country from the grips of inept and ravenous rulers. We as Nigerian citizens must commit ourselves to the promotion of a united country, a democratic order and a just, prosperous and forward-looking society.
“The PRP is committed, as always, to these noble ideals. We call on all citizens to join us in the pursuit and struggle for their realization.Happy and prosperous New Year, Nigeria.”
