Publisher donates bungalow to 80-year-old blind man

Publisher of Horn, an Owerribased newspaper, Chief Bright Chimezie Njoku, has donated a three bedroom bungalow to 80-year-old blind man, Pa Job Okpara of Ofodim UmunekeUgiri in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state.
Chief Njoku told Blueprint that his gesture was informed by a message he got from God asking him to locate and build a house for somebody while he was in his room, saying the message was repeated severally, hence he had to explain the urge to his wife.
He said when he informed his brothers of the development, he was advised against building the house, explaining that he was yet to complete his own house.
“When we eventually located the man, we found him living in an abandoned kitchen with his family, a place where his junior brother whose family is a little bit rich, had left them to be battered by the rain and scorching sun.
“I did not build the house because of politics but my desire to obey the will of God.
God wants to use this to bring unity and togetherness to Ofodim village,” Njoku said.
Also speaking, Rev.
Nnamdi Akujuo of Overcomers Christian Mission, observed that the gesture by Njoku was not only done for Pa Job but for God, stressing that “the greatest gift ever given to a person is when you give it without expecting anything in return, just as nothing is expected from the old man.
” He begged God to continue to bless the donor and use him for the lessprivileged.
Pa Job and his wife, who sang and praised God for using the donor to remember his family, prayed for divine blessings upon Njoku and wished him the desires of his heart.
