PWYA distributes palliatives to less privileged in Kuje

 

The founder of Passionate Women and Youth Achievers Initiative (PWYA), a nongovernmental organization based in Kuje, Abuja, FCT, Mrs. Chinwe Deborah Okoro, has distributed assorted food items to  over 200  almajiria, including women and youths in the council area.

Speaking to Blueprint while distributing the food items and cash donations in Kuje, Saturday,  Mrs. Okoro said the gesture was aimed at eradicating  poverty in the society.

 She said PWYA is an NGO interested in humanitarian services such as  skill acquisition programme and  soft loan scheme to help her members boost their businesses, scholarship opportunities, human right advocacy, violence against women and child abuse, voice to the hopeless, workshops and seminars.

The PWYA founder further stated that the distribution of the food items in Kuje was to identify with such people by giving them sense of belonging to show that they are also important to the society.

She added that the step her NGO has taken so far to help the vulnerable is a pointer to a new way of doing things which could make the people to feel the impact of change at the various levels across the communities in the area.
