PZ donates 2 blocks of classroom to Bauchi village

As part of its corporate social responsibility, PZ Cussons Nigeria plc has built two blocks of classroom at Hardfund community school in Hardawa village of Misau local government area of Bauchi state.

Commissioning the project, the Chief Executive Officer of PZ Cussons Nigeria plc, Mr Christos Giannopoulos, said the company has been in Nigeria for a very long time manufacturing products such as robb and detergents, including Stella pomade, Premier, Joy, Imperial Leather, Thermocool and refined vegetable oil.

He noted that apart from meeting of customer needs, the company set up a foundation to touch lives by making social investment in the areas of education, supply of potable water, health care and economic empowerment.

“Since its inception in 2007, we have delivered a number of projects covering these four areas I mentioned and across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

“Education has received the most attention of our funding. This is not surprising considering rising demand for education parri passu the requisite infrastructure to accommodate students. Our main interest is to assist communities to achieve their goal,” he said.

In his remarks, the state Commissioner of Education, Dr Aliyu Tilde, thanked the company for the gesture and enjoined members of the community to make education of their children a priority.
