A-Qalam, AMansura varsities award Ganduje Best Gov

Students of Al-Amansourah, October Six, Egypt, and Katsina’s Al-Qalam universities, have crowned Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with the Most Performing Governor in Education.
The governor was crowned during the presentation of certificates to 60 graduating students of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun state, which took place at the Government House, Kano where Ganduje emphasised that education is the most valuable thing he could give to his people.
At the presentation of the awards, the Executive Secretary, Kano State Scholarship Board, Prof Fatima Umar said, out of the total 184 students sent to Al-Mansourah University, Egypt, 50 have qualified as nurses while the remaining 134 were still studying for their B.Sc Nursing.
“Over N293 million has been spent on those at Al-Mansourah University.
As a result of such concern and many more from His Excellency, the students from the university sent an award of dynamism in appreciation of your laudable achievements in the area of education sir,” she explained.
For the October Six University, Egypt, the Executive Secretary said 40 students were sent to study MBBS.
Out of the number, three opted out to read Radiology.
“They have graduated already and the remaining ones will finish their studies in the year 2020,” she said.
She said an upkeep allowance of over N95 million was sent to them.
For Al-Qalam University, Katsina, “98 per cent of the students sent there graduated, remaining only 3 per cent of those who have carry over to clear before graduation.
They are very happy with His Excellency’s efforts towards educational promotion,” she maintained.
