Ramadan: Ansar-Ud-Deen donates food items to widows in Kaduna


Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Kaduna branch, Wednesday, donated food items to widows in the society to serve as succour for them during the Ramadan fasting and the Covid-19 lockdown. 
Kaduna state has been under lockdown for over a month following the first positive case of Coronavirus in the state on March 28, this has caused untold hardship on the people as the private sector workers, small and medium scale businesses and artisans couldn’t go to work.  
The packaged food items, which composed of rice, semovita, beans and spaghetti, were presented by the Kaduna branch first Vice Chairman of the Society, Alhaji Sabur Adeyemi, to the beneficiaries who were drawn from the five divisions of the society in Kaduna. 


Making the presentations, Alhaji Sabur said reaching out to widows, orphans and the less privilege in the Society and providing skill acquisition programme for the unemployed, are part of the annual welfare programmes of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Kaduna branch. 
“Like other Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Kaduna branch programmes, we presented food items to the widows among us to serve as succour for them during the Holy month of Ramadan and also the ongoing lockdown because of Covid-19. 


“The widows like the vulnerable, need lot of help and this is our own little way as an Islamic organisation to reach out to the vulnerable and the less privilege among us. Even if we can’t help all of them, we reached out to substantial number of them to enable them have an easier and enjoyable Ramadan.
“We urge the beneficiaries to accept the food items like that, and make the best use of it. May Allah accept our Ramadan fasting, ease our affairs and grant us all a place in Aljannah.

“We implore our members to continue to contribute more and to reach out more to the less privilege around them especially during the Ramadan season. May Allah reward all of us. Aamin.”
The beneficiaries include Hajiya Sherifat Ibitoye, Hajiya Fadhilat Adetona, Kudirat Badmus, Hajiya Aminat Adeyemo, Hajiya Sikirat Jamiu, Hajiya Medinat Yusuff, Hajiya Kudirat Bello, Hajiya Risqat Olasunkami, Hajiya Risikat Ayuba and Hajiya Hadiza Ajala.


The beneficiaries who noted that the donation came at a very crucial time, thanked Ansar-Ud-Deen for the gesture, while praying that Allah to reward the society and its members abundantly.
They equally prayed Allah to accept the fast of the members and those who contributed to their well being.
