Ramadan: Intensify prayers for Nigeria, Nasarawa APC tells Muslims


The caretaker leadership of All progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Wednesday, enjoined Muslims to intensify prayers in the holy month of Ramadan for the country to overcome it’s emerging challenges.

A statement signed by the caretaker committee chairman of the party Dr.John D W Mamman and made available to newsmen in Lafia also urged them to pray for sustainable peace, unity and development of the country.
“No doubt Ramadan is a sacred month characterised with heightened devotion and worship, we are therefore encouraging Muslims to strictly follows the true teachings of Islam in order to maximize the multiple benefits and rewards in the holy month of Ramadan,” the statement said.

The party equally urged Muslims Ummah to pray for the success of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and governor Abdullahi A Sule of Nasarawa state.

“As a party we want to assure you and all other Nigerians of our unwavering commitment towards providing the desire leadership and development in Nasarawa state and the country at large as demonstrated by president Muhammadu Buhari and governor Abdullahi A Sule.
“Without mincing words, we are proud to say that the APC government at all levels have been performing according to the yearnings and the aspirations of all, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, social welfare, economic growth and development,” it added.

While wishing all Muslims a happy and peaceful Ramadan fast, the APC assured that Nasarawa will continue to remain alive to it’s responsibilities as a party for the masses that will take the state, and Nigeria to the next level of development based on equity, justice and fairness.
