Ramadan: Stop playing politics, pay Kogi Civil Servants, Faleke tells Bello

Former running mate to late Prince Abubakar Audu, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has appealed to the governor of Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Bello to pay civil servants and pensioners their due entitlements to enable the Muslim faithfuls perform the Ramadan fast.
 
In a press statement signed on Thursday, Faleke stated, “I appeal for the immediate payment of salaries and pensions and urge governor Yahaya Bello to avoid politicisation of his appeal, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.”
 
He said, “This month of Ramadan symbolises an environment of peace, harmony and equality, besides emphasising on charity. Ramadan fasting signifies discipline, unity among the people and rendering help to the poor and needy.
 
In this blessed month, we all have opportunities to reflect on the blessings we have been given and work toward greater fellowship with one another, together in the spirit of Ramadan, we can achieve a more harmonious and respectful society.”
 
The All Progressives Congress chieftain congratulated Muslim faithful for witnessing another blessed month of consecration and blessings.
 
He then urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the virtues of tolerance, brotherliness, care for the needy and self discipline.
 
While requesting for prayers for the rescue and restoration of Kogi state, Faleke prayed to Allah to give Muslim brothers and sisters the strength and needed energy during the holy month of Ramadan.
