The National Chairman Council of Ulama, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, has harped on the importance of girl child/female education amongst Muslims in Nigeria.
He said the women folk are an important integral part of the family and the society at large.
The cleric stated this at the formal opening of his annual Tafsir (interpretation), of the Qur’an, in Jos.
He said, “Education is the strong pillar upon which family, society and country develops and it is therefore important to ensure that more schools are open for the education of the women folks.”
Sheikh Jingir admonished parents to ensure good moral upbringing of their children and wards, adding that a better family and society is driven by good moral values and therefore; “as parents we must ensure that we morally trains our children.
He disclosed that the group has deployed 533, preachers across states in Nigeria and few others to neighboring countries with a charge on truthfulness.
Sheikh Jingir admonished them to; “preach the true teachings, of the Qur’an and the Sunnah (tradition), of Prophet Muhammad SAW.”
