Ramadan: Yobe reduces official working hours



Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe state on Wednesday reduced the official working hours in the state by one hour so as to allow Muslims prepare adequately for breaking fast daily.

A statement made available to Blueprintby the spokesman to the Head of the state civil service, Hussaini Mai Sule, indicates that the working hours now run between 8.00am and 3.00pm daily, Mondays to Thursdays while on Fridays, work will last between 8.00am  and 12.30pm.

The statement further indicates that the reduction of the official working hours is only for the Ramadan period.

The governor while wishing the Muslim faithful fruitful Ramadan, called on the residents to pray for peaceful co-existence in the state and the country at large.
