Ramsey strikes Juve 4-year deal, becomes 8th highest paid player

Aaron Ramsey has agreed a £400,000-a-week Juventus deal.

The Welshman will quit the Gunners on this summer and has signed a four-year deal with the Italian champions.

Juventus confirmed the capture of Aaron Ramsey on a four-year deal.

His package would take him beyond team-mate Mesut Ozil and Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe into eighth in the world for earnings.

Compatriot Gareth Bale – who scored his 100th Real Madrid goal last weekend – is sixth as Welsh football relishes having two of the world’s top stars.

Ramsey is following in the footsteps of Wales legends John Charles and Ian Rush in moving to Turin.

The playmaker was due to sign a new deal with Arsenal but the offer was pulled by club chiefs.

And the Gunners are set to lose him for nothing after signing Rambo from hometown club Cardiff for £5million in 2008.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery hopes Denis Suarez could be a long-term replacement.

The Spanish ace joined on loan from Barcelona with a view to making the move permanent in the summer.
