Ranch Bees upbeat on promotion chances

Following Ranch Bees FC of Kaduna’s 1 – 2 home victory over Nigerian National League (NNL) leaders, Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, the hosts’ technical adviser, John Alhassan, has said the team is in good stead to win promotion to the Glo Premier League come end of the season.
Ranchers Bees rose to a 2-0 lead following a brace from a penalty netted by Ahmed Musa Dansama, before Wikki scored a consolatory goal in the dying minutez of the game through former Golden Eaglets right full back, Ibrahim Mustapha.
Alhassan said he was very happy with the result, considering the fact that Ranch Bees was still in the process of evolving for the league that has entered week 8.

“Wikki came from the Premier League and they retained most of their players. Considering the fact that they are topping the table, I consider it (2 – 1 win) a good result.
“We just brought in six new experienced players, the likes of Sunday Ibeji and Prince Onyeze and we are still trying to blend them with the players that have been on ground.

With what I saw today, I am optimistic that Ranch Bees will pick one of the promotion tickets in the Group A of the National League.”
Scorer of the two goals, Ahmed Musa Dansama said his target at the end of the season is 22 goals.
“God has been on my side. With Him on my side I believe my target of 22 goals will be achieved.
“Aside from emerging the highest goal scorer, I want my goals to give my team promotion to the Premier League. We have been in the National League for too long. This is our season,” Dansama said.
