Rangers refuse Agbim’s contract renewal

Enugu Rangers have released CHAN Eagles’ skipper and goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim, officials said.
Rangers’ media officer, Foster Chime, told MTNFootball.com the Enugu team coaches had recommended that Agbim’s contract should not be renewed.
“Chigozie Agbim signed a year deal with us last season which has expired. We did not renew his contract because the technical crew said his services are no longer needed.
“We have four keepers in our fold now, namely Emmanuel Daniel, Itodo, Uche Okafor and Usman Jonah,” Foster Chime told MTNFootball.com
Agbim was also hammered for some blunders during the recent CHAN, where Nigeria finished third.
He caused a transfer controversy between Rangers and Warri Wolves last season, but he only played two matches against Kano Pillars and Bayelsa United as he was mostly in the national team training camp.
