Real Madrid not giving up on Pogba, table £145m bid

Real Madrid have launched a £145million raid for Paul Pogba, according to reports in Spain.

Bernabeu chiefs are aiming to bring in Zinedine Zidane’s No1 midfield target as their spending spree continues.

And Sport claims they have made a formal approach to Manchester United, who want a deal wrapped up in 10 days.

Pogba, 26, has been strongly linked with an exit after claiming he was looking for a “new challenge” earlier this season.

But despite Spanish clubs being able to do business until the end of the month, United are unliely to sell after the English window closes on August 8.

United have lined up Sporting playmaker Bruno Fernandes and Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as potential replacements.

And they were handed a boost when Simone Inzaghi admitted he could not keep hold of powerful Serb Milinkovic-Savic if the Old Trafford outfit came knocking.

He said: “My thoughts are that I’d like Milinkovic-Savic to stay.

“But I also believe the club has to consider offers when they come in and then make a decision.

“Milinkovic is 24 years old now, he’s no longer a kid. I can give him advice, he is at our disposal and hasn’t missed a training session, but then I don’t know what will happen. I hope he stays.”
