Our attention has been drawn to the purported fake news report circulating on various online papers, online blogs and different social media platforms regarding the so-called fake meeting between Distinguished Senator Dr. Ibrahim Gobir and Sokoto state PDP bigwigs under the leadership of one Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo A.A, which was claimed to have held in Abuja few days ago.
We want to make it categorically clear that the said meeting was untrue and a fabricated story in an attempt to tarnish the hard earned reputations of Senator Gobir and gain some cheap political points by the sponsors of these evil news.
Likewise, Senator Gobir has no connection with the statements or the content of the said meeting and the fake report and there has never been a time when such a meeting was held between Senator Gobir and any member of Sokoto PDP or PDP bigwigs talkless of one Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo AA, whom they claimed to have met with Senator Gobir.
Senator Gobir as trusted political ally of Senator Aliyu Wamakko and one of the APC leaders in Sokoto state, a public office holder and a professional politician, cannot make such unguided secret meeting with the opposition party or have any hidden agenda against his best friend, colleague and leader in the party, Senator Wamakko.
To further authenticate that the so-called meeting was just the work of mischief makers and an attempt by the evil mercenaries who are bent in destroying the many decades good relationship that exist between Senator Wamakko and Senator Gobir, we challenge anyon with evidence of the said meeting to come out and prove it to the public. To the best of our knowledge, Senator Gobir will forever remain grateful and appreciative to Senator Wamakko, APC and the people of Sokoto state.
Finally, Dr. Ibrahim Gobir has the civil right as an indigene of the state to contest for any position, but not the way those agents of darkness are portraying it to be through betrayals and going against Senator Wamakko.
While calling on the general public to disregard the fake report and all its content. We also warn mischief makers to desist from dragging the name of the well respected Senator Gobir; a humble and gentle minded person, into unnecessary political issues at this time, because he will never be part of that and will never bring himself so low.
