Remembering Ali Kwara

Being Cabalero says “Nobody Is born a warrior. You choose to be one when you refuse to stay seated. You choose to be one when you refuse to back down. You choose to be one when you stand up after, getting knocked down, you choose to be one because If not you, WHO”?

Shreelay says “Live like a warrior – with a heart of steel; fearless, confident and focused. Leave a sign on people’s mind such that, your body decays after you die but your heart remains untarnished for centuries”.

The history of Bauchi state can never be told complete without mentioning one of its greatest sons, a man who dedicated his life to bringing security to the society, a man whose advocate for justice cannot be overtly exaggerated, a man who refused to sleep when others sleep, a man who walked where people fear to walked, a man whose name sends fear, jittery and discomfort to “night workers”. He is none other than vibrant, strong, heroic, warrior, legend, mythical and a great hunter of criminals all over the country, Late Alh. Muhammad Ali Kwara.

Late Alh. Muhammad Ali Kwara together with his army of one thousand personnels deserved the high esteem regard, recognition and appreciation from not only Bauchi state citizens but every citizen of this country, because of his immeasurable effort in improving the security situation in the country and curtailing the excesses of various criminals.

Moreover, late Alh. Muhammad Ali Kwara as a building contractor had assisted the less privileged in the society, his generosity alone has shown his liberality and further proved him as a detribalised person because he welcomed all and sundry. For us that lived in his time had heard and seen his service to humanity and for those that will come after him, his story shall be just like myth. He is a true legend.

Ali Kwara was a General outside army barracks, an Inspector General of Police without uniform and a warrior of high repute. He was the type you can only read or hear about in war novels; the llya Dan Maikarfi that lived in our midst, the apocalypse of northern Nigeria and beyond.

Late Muhammad Ali Kwara lived a happy life, married and bless with four children. Finally, I express my heartfelt condolences to his family, Bauchi state government and federal republic of Nigeria at large, may Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest. May Allah give us the fortitude to bear this immense loss.
