Rerun election: PDP wins Gamawa, Zaki federal constituencies in Bauchi


People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in the rerun election for the house of representatives into the Gamawa Federal constituency of Bauchi state held on Saturday.


The party also won the supplementary election that took place in Zaki local government federal constituency announced on Saturday.


Declaring the winner, the returning officer of Gamawa rerun election Dr. Abubakar Mohammed of Federal University Dutse said Ahmad Madaki Gololo of PDP scored  21,223 while his closest opponent Isa Mohammad Wabu of NNPP scored 15,004.


Other candidates according to him scored the following votes; Dahiru Alhaji of ACD 102, Bashir Dogowa scored of ADC 152, Waziri Isah of PRP scored 47, Ibrahim Aliyu of Marger Party 78 and Mustafa Abdul Ahmed of GPN 248.


Similarly, Honourable Auwal Jatau of the PDP has been declared winner of Zaki local government Federal Constituency of Bauchi state supplementary election that took place Saturday.


Returning officer of the election Professor Ahmed Kutama declared him winner after getting a total of 15,405 votes against his rival Umar Tata of the APC who got 15,307 votes.
