Residents scamper for safety as robbers attack bank in Osun


Residents of Okuku in Odo-Otin local government area of Osun state have been thrown into panic as some robbers invaded a generation bank in the town. 


The robbers, who invaded the twin in their numbers, arrived the town around noon and started shooting sporadically into the air. 


The shooting caused panic as residents immediately scampered for safety. 
The amount carted away could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. 


It was gathered that no casualty was recorded in the attack. 


The spokesperson of Osun state police command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident. 


Though, she could not confirm the particular bank the robbers attacked, she promised to brief the press later. 


She however assured that efforts are in top gears to ensure arrest of the robbers. 
She disclosed that the police commissioner, Olawale Olokode, has led a team of the robbery-squad to trail the robbers for possible arrest.
