Respect human rights , Oyo CP tasks officers

The new Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr Nwachukwu Enwonwu,  Monday asked  officers and men of the Oyo state Police command to respect the fundamental Human Rights of the people . 

CP Enwonwu gave the charge during the handing – over ceremony held at the Oyo state Police command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan. 

CP Enwonwu said the dignity for the fundamental human right ” is a compulsory act for the police as contained in section 32 – 45 of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution (as amended). 

“Our officers should be law abiding and respect the human right of the people, go back to your various division and commands and ensure high level of security in your areas. Let’s join hands together and put a stop  to crimes and criminality in Oyo state,” he said.

The new Oyo CP tasked   Police officers in his jurisdiction to go to their various divisions to maintain high level of discipline, sit up and maintain good tempo of performance and give their utmost cooperation.
