Serie A will officially resume on the weekend of June 20-21 with four games, including Atalanta-Sassuolo and Inter-Sampdoria.

As expected, the Italian top flight will restart from the 25th matchday, which was never completed in March due to the coronavirus lockdown.

“Lega Serie A held an assembly meeting today in the presence of all 20 clubs via conference call,” read an official statement.

“The clubs welcomed the green light to the resumption of Serie A TIM, as announced yesterday by Minister Spadafora, and unanimously voted for contesting the four games on the 25th matchday (Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Cagliari, Inter-Sampdoria and Torino-Parma) on the weekend of June 20-21 and the scheduling of the 27th matchday, starting from Monday June 22.”

The statement also confirmed the return of the Coppa Italia, which is midway through the semi-final stage.

“Furthermore, in response to the wishes of Minister Spadafora, sporting activity in the 2019-2020 season will resume immediately with the Coppa Italia, with its Final scheduled for June 17.

“Kick-off dates and times will be announced by Lega Serie A in the next few days.”
