There is wide spread fear among residents and indigenes in two autonomous communities of Ahaba Orodo and Ogwa in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state as a huge man believed to be a ritual killer went about confronting and beheading anyone he meets on the way.
Blueprint gathered that the man has killed and taken along with him the heads of not less than nine persons across the two communities since he started operations in the last one month and efforts made to track him down have proved abortive, as he has always evaded them and escaped into the bush to their greatest surprise.
It was further learnt that the ‘strong man’ wears charms and amulets on his body which make it possible for him to get at his victims at will.
However, when contacted, CSP Mike Abattam, the media aide to the Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, said he had gotten the report from other sources without an official report from any police division in the Command.
