RMRDC boss bags AESON award

The Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), on  Monday honoured the Director-General of the Raw Materials Research and  Development Council (RMRDC), Prof. Hussaini Doko Ibrahim for his contributions to the development of the country’s agricultural sector.

AESON honoured five (5) persons during the 24th Annual Conference a four-day programme in Abuja

The DG said Nigerians should start to look inward by imputing to develop the local contents available in the country to improve the varieties of natural resources Nigeria is blessed with.

He said, “We should be identified amongst countries at 2020 on competitiveness fitness by adding more value to our raw materials and as well increase our agricultural products.”

The DG who was represented by the Director Agriculture and Agro Allied department RMRDC.

On his part, Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, an awardee, charged the farmers to put in more efforts in carrying out their duties having in mind that they are in competition with foreign counterpart despite the poor technology provided for them.

He assured the stakeholders for a focus group meeting to have a team among them to sit with professionals to look into the agricultural industry modernization bill to introduce it with their inputs at his assumption as a member of the 9th Assembly.
