RMRDC engages staffers in sports activities to aid mental fitness


The management of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) over the weekend engaged the members of staff in sports activities to aid their mental faculty and increased their productivity level.

According to the director- general, Dr.  Hussaini Doko Ibrahim who was represented by the director Industrial Chemicals and Minerals Dr. Mohammad Lawal Bukar said the exercise is important for proper fitness which in return makes one more productive health wise and at work.

He further said the engagement of this initiative would assist and increase the mental capacity of the members of staff.

“The aim today is to increase our mental capacity because exercise makes the blood flow freely and once you have blood increase, when you breath in oxygen you have in nutrients into all parts of the body and your joints making the body system flexible and there would be an increase of flow of the blood into the brain and you will be mentally alert and physically fit to work.”

 The D-G assured the staff of his full support of this initiative and bringing about a full implementation of it.

The National President Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) Comrade Aloku Amaebi    lauded the council for their flexibility of displaying authority putting the members of staff ahead of every decision. Adding that, the exercise was in line with FEPSGA annual programme to keep all workers physically and mentally fit.

The Public Relations Officer of the organization, Chucks Ngaha said the initiative has been a vision of the management to give all staff a mentally and physically fit to have a maximum contribution to the realization of objectives of the council.
