Road accident claims seven traders in Osun

Seven people have died in a motor accident that occurred at a village between Oyo and Osun state on Monday night.

The accident, according to investigation occurred at Arolu village in Surulere Local government of Oyo state.

The truck was returning to Osogbo, Osun state capital from Kwara state where he went to load yam flour.

It was gathered that the driver of the truck and the conductor died with five traders, who are owners of the yam flour.

The traders who are mainly women were said to have left Oluode market about three days ago to buy goods in Kwara state.

Investigation revealed that the load of the yam flour fell on the traders who were said to be sleeping on the goods.

Visit to Jaleyemi Catholic hospital, Osogbo, where others were receiving treatment revealed that many traders are still in coma.

All efforts to speak with the management of the hospital proved futile as they refused to speak to the press.
