Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state says road construction has been on the priority list of his administration in the state.
Buni made the statement on Wednesday at the official flag off of the reconstruction of 34km Danchuwa-Jajere road Project in Jajere community of fune local government area of the state.
He said the road when completed would harness the rich agriculture, livestock and other potential that abound the area as well as improve socio- economic live in the communities.
“Very reputable Company QUMECS Nig limited was carefully selected for the award the Construction of the 34km Jajere-Danchuwa road project.
“This project was awarded at the cost of N5,032,732,211.02 and is expected to be completed within 18 months,” Buni said.
The Governor directed the contractor handling the project to adhere to all the specification contained in the contractual agreement.
He also enjoined the benefiting communities of the project and all other projects across the state to support and corporate with the contractors to facilitate quality and timely completion of the project.
