RwandAir launches flights to Abuja, three other African cities

RwandAir has announced plans to launch flights from its hub in Kigali into Abuja, Nigeria; Bamako, Mali; Conakry, Guinea and Cape Town, South Africa.
Besides, the airline plans to extend its services New York, United States and Guangzhou, China.
The airline’s country manager, Ms. Ibiyemi Odusi said in an interview in Lagos that the new routes are part of its remaining route expansion plan and growth drive for 2017/2018 financial year.
Speaking in an interview, RwandAir’s country manager in Nigeria, Ms Ibiyemi Odusi said the airline will continue to offer uninterrupted seamless air services on its many routes with improvements on its products on all fronts.
She expressed the airline’s resolve to offer Nigerian market competitive fares, generous baggage allowance and seamless connections to destinations within Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
“Abuja will soon be active together with Bamako, Yaoundé, Conakry, Cape Town (in Africa), New York and of course the long awaited Guangzhou in China.
“We are the fastest growing airline in Africa today. We will continue to consolidate on this to enable us feed our routes seamlessly with adequate schedule planning.
“By the end of this financial year, we will be looking at 31 destinations in the whole network,” she said.
Meanwhile, she said the airline had finalized plans to host trade and corporate partners for their contribution in the current financial year.
“This has since been a tradition with the airline. The programme is drawn up to appreciate partners for their support for the airline. It is necessary to appreciate them and also update them on new products/services.
“The trade and corporate are strong partners who have been with and made us the airline of choice and we wish to re-assure customers that we will continue to provide unsurpassed, safe and reliable services linking Rwanda with the outside world, which is actually our vision,” said Odusi.
In addition, she said the airline would continue to introduce products that will attract business, private and leisure travellers.
“We have recently launched the RwandAir premium product re-branded to satisfy the needs of passengers in premium economy, dream miles upgrade (frequent flyer scheme); tour packages to our hub in Kigali are now readily available and to remind all of the recently added Lagos- Accra direct non-stop flight,” she added.
