Sallah: Almakura congratulates Muslims

Senator Umaru Almakua representing Nasarawa south senatorial district has congratulated muslims across the country on completion of the 30 days mandatory fasting and urged them to continue to show compassion to the need.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to Blueprint on Saturday, in Lafia.

Almakura said that Ramadam fasting teaches the values of love, justice, equity and unity among other cherished virtues.

He said as the Holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, Muslim faithful should assess their conduct and align their behaviors to the teachings of Islam.

“As a result of the lessons which are bequeath to us through Ramadan fasting, we are expected to continue to demonstrate understanding and tolerance towards one another and show compassion to those in need.

“This special occasion of Ed-el- Fitir, therefore affords us the opportunity to make sober reflection and assessment of our conduct as true followers of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon Him).”

The Senator therefore, solicited for fervent prayers from all supporters and well wishers to enable him translate his mandate into true and fair representation.

He however, urged all the good people of the state to rally round the APC administrations at the federal and state levels, to enable Governor Abdullahi Sule and President Muhammadu Buhari, deliver more devidends of democracy.
