Sallah: CP assures security, hitch-free celebrations

Yobe State Commissioner of Police, CP Yahaya Sahabu Abubakar, has assured of sustained efforts in the fight against crimes and criminalities before, during and after the Sallah festivities.

A statement signed, Monday, by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)Yobe state police command Abdul-Karim Dungus said the CP gave the assurance while addressing Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and strategic heads of departments during the week under review.

He charged them to emplace all necessary security measures with a view to ensuring enabling environment for a hitch free and peaceful Eid celebrations.

CP Abubakar also enjoined Yobe indigenes and residents to be law abiding, obey traffic regulations, avoid reckless driving and contribute to the existing relative peace in the state.

He wished all Muslim faithful in the state a happy and peaceful Eid celebrations in advance and called on all to be vigilant and security conscious.

“All security personnel should be professional in carrying out their lawful responsibilities while being mindful of the rights of citizens,” the CP said.
