Sallah: Let’s unite for greater Niger, Malagi pleads

Blueprint Newspapers publisher and Niger state governorship aspirant for the 2023 general elections,  Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, has appealed for the people to maintain peace and unity towards a greater Niger state irrespective of political and religious differences.

Malagi who is also the Kaakaki Nupe stated this on Saturday in a Sallah message at his country home in Malagi village. 

He said, “My Sallah message to the people of Niger state  is that they should live in peace, harmony and love one another. They should eschew violence because violence can not take us anywhere”.

According to him, “Politicians, supporters and followers have a duty to ensure the we have a greater Niger state by remaining united , peaceful and committed to the ideas of its founding fathers.”

He explained that although he was not in the village for politics, it was necessary to advise supporters not to fight on account of recent development.

He said, “We should be patient and not be angry and do not fight. We are not fighting anybody and as you know, the people of Malagi are peace lovers and accommodating to every one. Therefore I’m pleading that you should not fight no matter the situation.”

Also in a Sallah message, the Chief Imam of Malagi,  Mallam Shehu Liman Malagi, urged the people to remain prayerful for success of the forthcoming coming elections. 

He prayed for Allah ‘s blessing for Mohammed Idris Malagi and his governorship aspiration, urging him not to be Afriad of coming home always to celebrate Sallah with his people in the village as he has done always.
