Sallah: No orderlies, protocol staff around airports, FAAN tells VIPs

For the umpteenth time, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reiterated it will not allow protocol officers and orderlies into terminals of airport buildings just as the facilities are witnessing a surge in passenger traffic as Nigerians head home to celebrate the Muslims Eid-El-Kabir Festival across the country.

The country’s airports management Authority affirmed the decision is consequent on its determination to prevent any transmission of the Covid-19 virus in any of the airport facilities under its jurisdiction.

It assured all airport users that the nation’s airports are fully ready to play host to air travellers during and after the celebration.

Image maker of the agency and General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs Herentta Yakubu told journalists that “To ensure safe, healthy and seamless facilitation of our highly esteemed passengers during this celebration, the Authority has put necessary safety measures in place, particularly with respect to the Covid-19 protocols laid down by relevant Government agencies.”
