The Emir of Kano, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has called on the newly appointed Wazirin Kano, Ustaz Saadu Shehu Gidado, to safeguard the integrity of the Kano Emirate Council at the time when his wise counsel is much needed.
Speaking at the turbaning of the new Waziri at his palace in Kano, at the weekend, Sanusi said the position of Waziri is a strategic one, considering the high expectation from him by the Emirate Council. He stressed that his closeness to the emir cannot be over emphasized.
On his part, Ustza Saadu Shehu Gidado pledged to work assiduously in projecting an enviable image for the Emirate Council, adding that he would imbibe the spirit of the fear of God in the performance of his duties.
