Sardauna Foundation holds webinar on Covid-19 vaccine safety, efficacy

As Nigeria prepares to receive Covid-19 vaccines the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation is set to host a webinar to discuss the safety and efficacy of the vaccine.

The online seminar, scheduled for next week Thursday, would be attended by medical experts who will discuss the vaccines.

A statement by the Managing Director/ CEO, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Engr. Abubakar Umar, said Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state would serve as guest of honour.

“The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation organises a webinar to discuss the safety and efficacy of Covid-19 Vaccines. The online seminar is intended to sensitize the general public and provide answers to all the issues surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, and its vaccines.

“The Webinar, which comes up on Thursday, January 28, 2021, by 2pm with Malam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai, Executive Governor of Kaduna state as Special Guest of Honour, will feature a team of medical experts to give their opinions about the Covid-19 vaccines.

“Speakers at the Webinar include Dr. Faisal Shu’aibu Executive Director National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Prof Abdulsalam Nasidi OON, a pioneer epidemiologist and Dr. Nasiru Sani Gwarzo an epidemiologist and Director, Ministry of Health.

“Others are Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry Trade and Investments, Prof Zubairu Iliyasu, Director of Centre for Infectious Diseases Bayero University Kano, Prof Sarki Abba, Director Center for Urologic Oncology Northwestern University Chicago USA, and Dr. Muhammed Adis, Executive Secretary of Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
