SDP forum of NASS candidates endorses Atiku



The forum of SDP National Assembly candidates, (SNACF) comprising of Senatorial and House of representatives candidates have endorsed Atiku Abubakar as their alternative candidate for Saturday presidential election in Nigeria. 


The forum rose from it’s emergency meeting held in Abuja at the early hours of today with the resolve to follow the party’s directive and mobilise their supporters to vote them for Senate or Rep and Atiku Abubakar for president during Saturday election. 


The SDP NASS contenders numbering 93 convened at Abuja as representatives of other candidates in their various states to confer with the party’s National leader and rallying point in the presidential election, Prof Jerry Gana on the  outcome of the last Monday NEC/Stakeholders’ conference which held at the merit house Abuja. 
The Gana faction had directed every candidate and the supporters to mobilise votes for Atiku in the coming Saturday election. 


The  delegation which devolved in to a meeting after the courtesy visit to the party leader unanimously resolved to back the position of the party to support support Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election.


According to them Atiku was the only person capable of driving the country out of the woods. 


The group’s spokesperson, Otunba Ayotunde Solomon Babatunde, SDP candidate for Osun central senatorial district said: “It will amount to  betrayal of the Nigerian masses to propose another four years of hopelessness, locust economy and insecurity which Buhari Governments to Nigerians again.  
“We shall deliver Atiku at our various senatorial districts and federal constituencies come Saturday, God willing”.
