Security summit picks Dana Air as offi cial airline

Dana Air has been picked as the offi cial airline of the National Security Summit scheduled to hold today in Abuja Th emed: “Forging partnerships for eff ective strategies to curb the menace of kidnapping, recurring farmers-pastoralists clashes and criminality in Nigeria’, the summit which is expected to be declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari, is organized by the offi ce of thinspector general of police in conjunction with Leadership Group, and National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria.

Th e summit is aimed at creating relevant platform for all stakeholders to meet and deliberate on appropriate, implementable and enduring solutions to security threats in the country Commenting on the partnership, the accountable manager of Dana Air, Mr. Obi Mbanuzuo said: “We are proud to have been announced as the offi cial airline for this allimportant summit. As an airline committed to the safety of our guests and Nigerians at large, we feel there is no better time than now.

“For us to come together and seek ways to solve these security challenges we believe the inspector general of police and our royal fathers have taken the right step. We will as always off er delegates to this summit the best of on-time performance and infl ight service.’’ He said the choice of Dana Air was well-thought out and the fact that the airline has proven to be a responsible corporate citizen with the 50 per cent discount that the airline is off ering ministries, departments and agencies travelling on offi cial duty. Mbanuzuo further said as the offi cial airline, Dana would be expected to off er seamless services to delegates attending the summit from Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Owerri.

Also speaking, the consultant to the inspector general of police, Mr. Henry Daniel-Elebiga said: “We decided to partner an airline that has a track-record of good customer service, in-fl ight service and on-time performance. Th is is an airline that has raised the bar on all fronts and is also a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) registry, which is a confi rmation of the airline’s adherence to global operational safety standards.’’
