Sen Gyang calls for prayer, adherence to safety rules

The senator representing Plateau North senatorial district, Istifanus Dung Gyang, has advised his Jos North constituents to always adhere to safety measures on COVID-19 and respect constituted  authority.

Also, he urged his constituents to remain prayerful to God for his quick intervention in the Corronavirus pandemic.

The senator gave the advice in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Jos community, Hajiya Nafisa Oma, in Jos.

The senator said only adherence to safety measures outlined by health experts and government will assist in defeating the virus.

She said Senator Gyang was assuring the people of the local government area that both government and health professionals were doing their best to ensure that they are not infected by the virus.

According to Oma, the Senator has advised constituents to constantly wash off their hands with clean water and sanitizers and to equally avoid crowd areas as well as always wear face mask and hand gloves.

“The Senator called on stakeholders, religious leaders, parents, most especially mothers to counsel their children and wards not to engage in any act that will breach the peace and security of the community in this trying period,” she said.

She explained that the deadly virus is a global pandemic that needs all and sundry to assist government in ensuring that the policies outlined to prevent the spread is achieved.
