Senate condoles with Fika Emirate over Ciroma

Senator Abdullahi Adamu yesterday led a delegation of the Senate on a condolence visit to the Fika Emirate in Potiskum town of Yobe state over the demise of elder statesman, Malam Adamu Ciroma (Madaki of Fika), who passed on recently.
Adamu, who conveyed the sympathy of the National Assembly to the Emirate, said: “Your royal highness, with you here are members of the delegation representing the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the purpose of our visit to you, the people of Fika Emirate is to condole with you over the demise of our father, our uncle and elder statesman, Malam Adamu Ciroma (Madaki of Fika), on Wednesday, last week.” “We raised a delegation to visit his domain and you, as the father of this Emirate, the Senate nominated us to come and pay condolence visit for the repose of our father, the late Madaki of Fika, Malam Adamu Ciroma.” The Senate described the late Ciroma as “a master who was listened to, watched and read severally on newspapers, television and radio by all Nigerians.” Responding, the Emir of Fika and Chairman, Yobe state Council of Chiefs, Dr.
Muhammad Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa, who spoke through the Dala of Fika, Muhammad Maina Waziri, thanked the Senate for the visit, and prayed to the Almighty God to reward them “abundantly.” The delegation was made up of Senator Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa), Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim (Yobe East), Senator Muhammad Ubale Shitu (Jigawa), Senator Jeremiah Useini (Plateau South), Senator Theodore Orji (Abia Central), Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (Bayelsa East) and Senator Muhammad Hassan representing Yobe South Senatorial zone, respectively.
