Senator Adamu a prophet of doom – Nasarawa PDP

The Nasarawa state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Yunana Iliya, has said that the prediction by Senator Abdullahi Adamu (APC) representing Nasarawa West district, that the crisis in the state could consume Nigeria, exposed “the activities of the prophets of doom in the state.”

Reacting to comment credited to Adamu that, “Nasarawa crisis could consume Nigeria”, in a national daily, Iliya said Adamu was a prophet of doom and that such crisis was the imagination of the Senator.
Iliya said that the state has been in peace until the coming of the APC, under the leadership of Governor Umaru Tanko Al – Makura.

“We want the state government to state reasons why a property belonging to the state Chairman of APC was burnt and any crisis that broke out Senator Adamu should be held responsible.”
He accused the government of creating disharmony among the people of the state and trying to attribute it to opposition.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the PDP has no problem with its supporters or followers and has been conducting its affairs with decorum,” he said.

Iliya said that the party would continue to criticise the government until the ‘right’ thing was done.
On the issue of impeachment, he said it was a constitutional matter enshrined in the laws of the land and any breach of the provision would compel the State House of Assembly to act.
