Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West) has been awarded the national honour in the rank of “Commander of the Order of Niger”, CON, by President Mohammadu Buhari.
The letter conveying the approval of the President with Ref. No. FMSDIGA/NHA/001/T/85 dated 16th September, 2022 was signed by Senator George Akume, the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Government Affairs, and stated that the conferment ceremony for the award is fixed for Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
Senator Adeola who chairs the Senate Committee on Finance, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Fellow of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
He is a parliamentarian that had served and is still serving the nation for over 19 years as a two- term state legislator, a one term member of the Federal House of Representatives and a ranking Senator in serving out his second term.
He was recently recognised by his people in Yewaland, Ogun State with traditional title of “Aremo of Yewaland” by the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and Olu Of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle and 49 other royal fathers of Yewaland.
