He said, “This empowerment program has been on since September 2020, we have been doing series  of training, we have trained  women in agricultural  empowerment,  ICT, science  teachers  and so many others. The last one was done two weeks ago and part of it is what you are seeing  here.  We have trained people on how to rear fish,  snail, bees, and today we are given them the equipment  to go into the field and start harvesting  the money and be Independent so that tomorrow  they will  be employers  of labour.

“You saw Keke, industrial  machines anybody  who has that industrial machine  can decide  not to do anything  he or she is already a millionaire because  there are tailors  who don’t  have that industrial machine  they go to them for their services. We have machines  for spraying chemicals in the farm, with this many of them will have agricultural  input heavier  than what they use to get.

“What is more important  to me, I have been able to list over 3000 men, women and youths into poverty  alleviation programs which by God’s  grace we have appropriated N438 billion naira to execute  this assignment  and by the time we start either this January  or February  Ebonyi South people will benefit. They are those who will get 150 thousand, there are those of 30 thousand, those of 500 thousand we have different  categories  of employment”,he said.

Some of the beneficiaries  who spoke to  Blueprint  appreciated  the senator and stated their readiness  to see that the party takes over power come 2023.

Mrs Chrity Okoro, a widow from Afikpo North said, “I have been working for this party for 20 years  now and I know how they do their thing, they look at the people that has been working for them and today they have given me a super gift, I’m grateful.

Another beneficiary Dominic also noted, “right from 1999 till now I have been working patiently  for PDP do in the past i ha e not gained anything but today has shown me that consistency is really important  I  everything  you are doing in life as a person.”
