Senator visits victims of Minna market fire, calls for vigilance

Senator representing Niger East senatorial district at the National Assembly, David Umaru has called on residents of the state to be more vigilant and cautious in averting fire outbreak in their environment

this harmattan period.

The lawmaker stated this yesterday during a sympathy visit to traders whose shops were burnt in the fire disaster that occurred at Minna market during the weekend.

He described the fire incident as unfortunate adding that traders should be more vigilant in the prevention of fire in the market.

He also expressed concern over the frequency of such disasters at the market adding that he was worried that traders were losing wares worth millions of naira to fire almost every year in the market.

Conducting the lawmaker round the affected shops, the market supervisor also known as Sakin Kasuwa, Mallam Ado Garba, pleaded with government and individuals for immediate assistance to victims of the

fire disaster.
