Seplat leads losers as stock market sheds N58bn

Seplat Petroleum Development recorded the highest loss during the day, shedding N31.60 kobo  to close at N550.00.

Dangote Cement Industry trail with a loss of N0.65 kobo to close at N36.15 kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank fell by N0.65 kobo to close at N36.15 kobo, Stanbic IBTC down by N0.50 kobo to close at N45.00 while Zenith declined by N0.20 kobo to close at N22.00.

Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) on the other hand led gainers table during the week appreciating by N1.00 to close at N20.00, PZ Cussons followed with a gain of N0.75 kobo to close at N11.25 kobo, Access Bank added N0.40 kobo to close at N6.90 kobo, Eterna Plc appreciated by N0.40 kobo to close at N4.80 kobo while Custodian Investment increased by N0.30 kobo to close at N6.30 kobo.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange trading result showed that Market Capitalisation of listed equities declined further yesterday by N58 billion or 0.50 per cent to N11.517 trillion from N11.575 trillion reported the previous day.

The NSE All Share Index also depreciated by 155.53 basis points to 30885.31 points from 31040.84 points recorded on Wednesday.

Investors traded 250.029 million shares worth N2.430 billion in 3869 deals against 223.659 million shares valued at N2.163 billion exchanged hands in 3419 deals.
