Serve Katsina pilgrims with fear of God, Amirul Hajj urges offi cials

Katsina state’s 2017 Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, has told the 2017 Hajj offi cials to fear God and serve the state pilgrims with a smile. Yakubu gave the charge while addressing the offi cials at his offi ce after the airlifted of the fi fth batch of the intended pilgrims who equally charged them to be proud of the opportunity given to them. He expressed satisfaction with the readiness of the Governor Bello Masari administration in providing the needed guide for the conduct of the Hajj exercise.

According to him, the 2017 Hajj pilgrims will benefi t more from the accommodation, transport and feeding arrangement provided by the present administration in Saudi Arabia. Yaubu, who is also the deputy governor, said already adequate number of Islamic scholars and guiders were provided to assist the pilgrims in the Holy Land. Th is was contained in a press release by the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Kallah.

While urging the offi cials to re-double their eff orts in off ering satisfactory services, he charged them to fi nd a way out in tracking the missing pilgrims in Makkah, as well solicited the cooperation between offi cial and the pilgrims more especially in sensitising the pilgrims with useful knowledge on how to perform a successful Hajj. He said the state administration had sponsored 237 offi cials to assist the 4,375 pilgrims for a successful Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia
