Shecluded appoints Farida Yahya as VP 

Shecluded, Africa’s first female-focused tech-enabled financial wellness company has appointed Farida Yahya as Vice President to establish brand presence in Northern Nigeria.

A statement made available to newsmen Monday in Abuja, said as a management consultant and business development manager with over 12 years experience, Farida Yahya joined Shecluded to support the brand’s goal of expanding its operations and impact in Northern Nigeria.

The company provides growth loans, financial education and asset-buiding tools for thousands of female entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

According to the statement, Shecluded has an active network of over 10,000 female entrepreneurs across diverse sectors, and is positioned to support women build and scale businesses that will thrive and average financial services to achieve their dream of financial freedom.

The statement noted that FaridaYahya is a social entrepreneur, a publisher, author and an active citizen, committed to building and empowering local communities through enterprise development. 

“While working as a Program Coach with Future Females Empowerment initative under the UK Aid-funded business school program, she helped improve the business model and team-buldng strategy of early-stage, female-owned, tech-enabled businesses of over 600 women in Nigeria by guiding them through the business school’s concierge curriculum.

“Over the past six years, Farida has impacted over 1200 women and 500 startups. She does this by provding a sustainable digital learning experience that enables female founders from under served communities to build scalable businesses, fulfill their potential and lead happy lives,” the statement said.

“Farida has a back ground in Biochemistry and business development withover twelve years of working experience.

“Farida volunteers as a career mentor for several groups including; skills

outsde school foundation, Northbridge foundation,YALIRLC and the US State department’s ECA-funded AWE program.

“Farida sits on the board of several private and non governmental organizations that support the startup ecosystem and economic prosperity of women,” the statement added.

According to Farida, what she finds exciting about joining Shecluded is that, “Aside expanding the reach of the brand that is Shecluded, I find it exciting because I get to make sure that the financial inclusion gap is grossly reduced.

Also working with other partners already on ground within the north, we get to create an ecosystem that supports financial independence of women in the region.”
