Shouting out to Sha’aban

Of recent, friends from all walks of life, out of curiosity and longing for good governance have been asking me why Hon Sani Mohammed Sha’aban, Danburam Zazzau is yet to declare his intention for the gubernatorial seat ot Kaduna State come 2019. Their quests are never misplaced. Their inquisition is legit.
They are asking me back-to-back to shed more light since no one is saying anything. Considering how very close I am to the would-soon-be Kaduna State First Son and heir apparent to the Danburam Political Dynasty, my friends are insisting silence is no longer golden!
The name, Sani Sha’aban is not new in the political discourse of Kaduna State; it has been there for forever and still there today: from astute local politics to the crowning glory of his four years as federal legislator and especially in 2007 and 2011 when he was arguably the candidate to beat in the Kaduna State governorship election.
The qualities that continually lure people to him are unique, amazing and inspiring. You just have to give it all to him as the man of the people – an upright politician, a good husband, an eloquent orator, the peacock, a trustworthy, kind-hearted, and Mr Integrity.
It is obvious that there has been, and remains, no alternative to our Danburam: A successful businessman who takes care of orphans and the destitute.
There’s no dull moment in his residence as the destitute troop to his house daily eating what he eats and attending the best schools. A philanthropist who opens his arms to everybody; his house is open to everyone. He is one of those who feels much for others; and little for himself. He believes that any person you see is a gift from God and as such should not be abused.
Honourable Sha’aban is above par with many politicians; a force to reckon with and is full with the milk of human kindness. The talk in town is Danburam Zazzau. People appreciate all his doings and are asking him tirelessly to contest. They stand with him and strongly believe that with him, the purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and that he has the will to help others.
If you ask me, whether or not the positive public opinion resonates, here is what Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart said: “the most one could say that his chi or personal god was good. But the Igbo people have a proverb that when a man says yes, his chi says yes also. Okonkwo said yes very strongly, so his chi agreed”.
“Yes!” I want to declare strongly that it’s high time Honourable Sha’aban makes his intentions known or accedes to our wishes. Because I totally agree with one Igbo proverb that says: “Anything a man will struggle until his testicles are exposed should be left for him”.
