Siasia denies bribery allegations

Former Super Eagles Coach Samson Siasia has vehemently denied the bribery allegation levelled against him by a player who claimed he was dropped from the Dream Team VI squad because he failed to offer bribe.

Speaking to Sports247, Siasia said anybody with a credible proof of him collecting bribe should bring out such to the public.

“I haven’t collected any form of bribes from anyone since I started coaching, and I will never do such,” the Beijing Olympic silver medal winning coach said.

“I dislike it when people decide to spoil my name. It is sad and unacceptable. If you have proof against me, show it to the world.”

Siasia’s comment became necessary after Pahang FA striker, Dickson Nwakaeme, tweeted that he was dropped from the 2008 Olympic team because he could not pay the N2m bribe demanded from him by the celebrated gaffer.
