Siasia wants his 3 months salaries settled

The Head Coach of the Nigeria U23 team, Samson Siasia, says the Nigeria Football Federation owes him three months salary, and has asked Nigerians to lend their voice to ensure he gets paid.
Speaking on a radio programme on Wednesday, the Dream VI Coach said he should not be held responsible if Nigeria failed to qualify for the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics, same way it failed to make it to the London Olympics.
The Coach said he was denied of a conducive working environment that would have helped him deliver on the task given to him.
“We are like orphans in the Nigeria U23 team…they don’t pay us our winning bonuses having qualified up till now,” Siasia began.
He continued: “The Super Eagles (home-based team) went to play draw in Burkina Faso and were paid two thousand dollars… We don’t have any official car; we buy our own fuel to put in our car. They keep saying because of this single account thing Buhari has created, they (NFF) don’t have money.
“I have tried to play along but for three months, I have not been paid, just promises and all that. Where am I going to have the energy to perform from?” Siasia further queried.
The 48-year-old gaffer also revealed that his players have no training kits, and are yet to be paid for their bronze medal finish at the last All Africa Games.
“The way we travel is a mess. We have no training kits. It’s a shame a national team has no kits to train in with.
“I have kept quiet for almost a year now, but nothing is happening. I haven’t been paid in three months and I have no car,” Siasia reiterated.
The can of worms being opened by Siasia is coming just a month before the start of the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations, which serves as qualifiers for the Olympic Games.
