Sokoto lawmaker to renovate constituency’s primary schools

Senator representing Sokoto East in the Senate, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir, who is also the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, has ordered for the renovation of all dilapidated primary schools across 9 local governments of his constituency for the development of teaching and learning process.

This was made known Tuesday by the Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir Special Adviser on Media, Malam Nasiru Emir in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara.

Senator Gobir stated that the aim of the projects was to transform and reinvigorate the education sector in his constituency particularly at grassroots to enable the poor children to have access to Basic Education in a conducive environment.

“The execution of the total renovation of these primary schools was part of fulfilment of my campaign promises to my constituents and if completed, the projects will help assiduously in teaching and learning development in my constituency”, Senator Gobir contended.

The lawmaker also enjoined his constituents to always support his efforts and remain law abiding citizens to enable him develop his constituency during his stewardship in the Senate.

Blueprint reports that the benefitting local governments in his constituency are Gwadabawa, Wurno, Raba, Gada, Goronyo, Isa, Sabon Birni, and Illela just to mention a few.
